Chocolate, chocolate !!! Been craving for some since this morning when I opened my eyes - must've had a dream about chocolate....
This is as good as it gets, I'm not kidding. {and I think it might even fall under healthy as it contains Digestive Biscuits..??} No, okay... this stuff goes straight to the hips and if you don't watch yourself YOU WILL HAVE TOO MANY - be warned!
Took me about 10 minutes to put this gem together and only an hour of chilling.
As I'm writing this post I am over-stuffing indulging in a piece or two, three.
Here we go:
Choc, Fruit & Biscuit Delight
source: cookbook by Hilary Biller LEKKER VINNIGE ETES
300g Fruit & Nut Chocolate, chopped
100g Unsalted Butter
100g White Chocolate, chopped
100g Digestive Biscuits, chopped
100g Glace Cherries, halved
1.) Line a small Loaf pan with wax-paper.{Bottom & Sides}
2.) Melt the Fruit and Nut Chocolate together with the Butter - let cool for 2 - 3 minutes.
3.) Add the White Chocolate, Digestive Biscuits and Cherries to the Melted Chocolate and stir to combine.
4.) Pour into the prepared loaf pan, use a dessert spoon to spread evenly (also press into all the corners).
5.) Chill for an hour or two until set - remove the Chocolate bar from the loaf pan and use a knife to cut into pieces.
Mmmm, think I had one piece too many - this is delicious, but quite rich. I'll save some for breakfast tomorrow.
Ciao for now,
Linking up with these cool parties:

Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteHow are you today. I just had a quick question. I live in the U.S. and I was wondering what fruit and nut chocolate is? I have not heard that term before, and I am not sure what to look for. Is there a certain brand?
Debi
Hey there Debi,
DeleteI'm fine thanks, hope you're doing well? This is a standard slab of chocolate with fruit and nuts. We have Cadbury but I know there are lots of brands which have these. Hope you'll find some!
Linda
We have cadbury here, so I'll look for that. Thanks. I'm doing well, just trying to get my couch done. I'm hoping today.
