What an elegant way to serve everyday chocolates! The Maraschino Cherries do not only add visual delight but tastes wonderful with the chocolate.
Unbelievably easy to make, using only chocolate and Maraschino cherries - I can already see a spin on this for Christmas....
This is what you need:
White Chocolate (good quality - not the normal melting, cooking kind)
Brown Chocolate ( " " " )
Maraschino Cherries, with the stalks
I used mini silicone molds, but mini cupcake liners will do as well.
1.)Melt the Chocolate - fill the molds/liners, leaving a small space at the top - place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes {or less} until it is just starting to set.
2.)Place a Maraschino Cherry on top - press gently into the chocolate {if you add the cherry too soon it will disappear in the melted chocolate}
3.) Return to the refrigerator for another 10 minutes - remove and drizzle with the opposite color chocolate.4.) Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
Very nice served with a cup of coffee!
Cute..? Elegant ...? Simple ... ? Call it as you wish and enjoy !
